I think that was a good example for the most part! I would have used a different example of gossip than the priest. I would have used a forrest wild fire in representing gossip. I hate gossip! Everybody thinks im a bad kid that just drinks a carpload of alcohol and for some reason thinks i do drugs alot! I dont get why every body judges me and then spreads their judgement on me?

Holocaust

I think the Holocaust was a horrible tragedy in history. The Jews were tortured in the most horrid ways. Sometimes they were put threw woodchippers feet first. There were lots of executions. Concentration camps were full of familys! Little kids and olerly people too. It was a sad time in the era of the Holocaust. The Nazi's were viscious people for being able to torture the jews sooo brootaly.

I am doing the genre project right now. I am kind of behind a little but its coming along. Zamzar is killing me. Its so slow! The genre I chose was reggae. I listen to reggae a lot so this genre fits me. My favorite artists are all Jamaican. Bob Marley, Burning Spear, and Joggo. I like redemption song by Bob Marley. It talks about slavery and religion in it. I like House of Reggae by Burning Spear. By Joggo i like Beware.

Service Project

The service project that I have done is work in the kitchen with Ms. Madarrely. I did this during freshman year. Everyday I would eat lunch then when the bell rang i would go to the kitchen then wash my hands. After I cleaned up I would help with the dishes. I got to work with Bryan in the kitchen all the time. That was always exciting. I would also deliver fries and make peanut butter and jelly's. I had to restock the drinks and get things out of the freezer. Ms. Madarrely was always nice. The lunch ladies were hysterical. I think I'm doing it my Jr. year too. I got 60 hours done last year. It was a half an hour a day because home room is a half an hour long. All in all it was pretty fun.

Jake Roberts On Drew O.

I totally agree with drew. I think we should be able to say whatever we want. I think its hilarious. Mason Alwan transferred to Richwoods and when Notre Dame High School played Richwoods High School we cheered on just Mason when ever he got the ball. We ended up stomping Richwoods that game. But back to the point. I think we, Irish Nation, should be able to get as hype as we want. Yeah yeah some language isn't appropriate but its high school its going to happen either way and there's no point in trying to stop it. The whole thing with deans monitoring us in the crowd was an epic failure. 

Natalie Lucas On Vice Versa

I agree with Natalie. Music at the dances is pretty bad. I choose to not go to the dances because I don't have the money. I also don't go to the dances because if you ask someone then your limited to dancing with just one person. If I went I would want to go dance with as many girls as possible! I also don't go to the dance because of parties! When all the kids are at the school I'm cruising with my bro's around Peoria. I start partying at about 5:30 and stop at like 2:30. Heheheh that was Rachel Thompson. She's me bestest friend ever.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well i don't know what else to type so peace out homies! Jake and Rachel! Yay!

Natalie Lucas On Music

I agree with Natalie Lucas on music as an anti drug. I am constantly listening to music. I listen to in before school when I wake up, before the bell, in second hour, in homeroom, in lunch, in computers class, in physical education, and in behind the wheel after school. I take my Ipod everywhere I go. My favorite genres of music are hardcore, rap, and alternative. Country is YUCK!

Natalie has very good taste in alternative music. I also like Dashboard Confessionals. I would fill in The Maine for Mayday Parade. All in all I would definitely say that music is my life.

Project Dazed and Confused

The current project that I am working on is the garage band project. I like the project so far. Although it is a bit awkward talking into the microphone for your podcast because you everyone is listnening to you in the class. It is also hard to not mess up. I am doing my project and the movie Dazed and Confused. This movie takes place in 1976 in Texas. Its about the seniors last day of scool and they allget stoned, drunk and laid and also brutaly beat the incoming freshman with paddles! Its a pretty funny movie. Its my type of movie. Hippies are one of the most entertaining peoples. The song i chose is the song from the movie. The Song is Slow Ride by Foghat. If i could go back in time i would deffinatley go back to the 70's era!

Paul Harvey

Paul Harvey, was an American radio broadcaster for the ABC Radio Networks. His listening audience was estimated at 22 million people a week. When Harvey was young, he made radio receivers. In 1933, at a high school teacher’s suggestion, he started working at KVOO in Tulsa. His first job was to help clean up. Eventually he was allowed to fill in on the air, reading commercials and news. He attended the University Of Tulsa. In 1940, Harvey moved to Hawaii to cover the United States Navy as it concentrated its fleet in the Pacific. He was returning to the mainland from assignment in Hawaii when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Harvy sereved in World War II. After being discharged he moved to chicago. Harvey died February 28, 2009.

Obama's Inauguration

 I watched Barack Obama's Inauguration an it was hilarious! He messed up so bad! I was laughing really hard. My whole school watched the inauguration live on the internet. I myself particularly am not a fan of Barack Obama. He says he's going to change all these things. He also says he  is going to lower taxes. I don't see how he is going to do that. He wants to increase teacher's salary's and use money money money. He's going to have to take that money from us, the people. That would obviously cause our taxes to raise! So I just found his inauguration funny.

Michael Phelps and A-Rod

I think that the newspaper journalists do go a little too far when it comes to professional athletes. I think what A-Rod did was totally against the rules and not fair. Its not fair because steroids make you stronger and that definitely benefits your ability to play baseball. Not everyone in the MLB can or does take steroids. But What Michael phelps did didn't benefit him in his sport at all. If anything marijuana  would decrease your ability to swim faster. Drugs are Drugs but marijuana is one of the less serious one because you cannot overdose on it. Michael Phelps got caught doing something illegal but was more personal then A-Rods. A-Rods wasn't illegal but his pertained to breaking the rules of his sport.

Suicide

I don't know what it is but I have had three people that I am very good friends with commit suicide. They all did it the same way. I just don't get it. I mean nothing is never to bad that u need to end your life. There is always a better choice. Even if your going to prison for life, or someone in your immediate family dies it is always better to live another day. Each day is a gift from God. It just feels like everyone around me and my family is hanging themselves. People just need to think about who'd they hurt by doing it. If you have a friend you worried about just be with them. Nobody commits suicide with somebody else in the room. R.I.P Mike Haggaman, R.I.P Mike Brubaker, R.I.P Shelby Webb.

Housing Crisis

Housing crisis' can be very stressful and depressing if you don't take care of them. I don't think the government should help any more than what they are already doing. It a house owners responsibility to make sure their job will make them enough money to pay rent, utilities etc.  Loans are a useful to help control and maintain house problems. I have had to move because the rent was to high in a bad time. Don't let it get to the point where u have to leave and your out on your own with nowhere to stay. If you see it coming prepare and look for a new place whether you go from house to apartment or apartment to house.

Skateboarding

I think that skateboarding should not be put in the Olympics. Some people believe that in order for something to be a sport it has to be in the Olympics. That is false because skateboarding is not a sport it is a lifestyle! Skateboarders do not want skateboarding to be in the Olympics because skateboarding is not a mainstreem sport. Its not supposed to and it is not for the average kid to just learn because he wants to learn something new. You have to be literaly a skateboarder before you even start. But thats just what I think about the topic but I'm pretty sure I speak for most all true skateboarders. 

Golden Globes

I didn't watch the Golden Globe awards this year just like how i don't watch them every year. I would say that the right people won for the right reasons but i don't think the right people won for the right reasons. Sometime people win an award over someone else because they have better looks and personality than others. It makes me mad when people will win for the wrong reasons such as two peoples song were almost equal but the one song was a tad better in all aspects but the other person won because she was skinny or cuter. I think if someone is competing for a certain talent they should be judged on the talent they are competing for.
